Current F1 Grid: All 22 Drivers Ranked, With Four All-Time Benchmarks

A tier list by Sid · filed under Sports & Fitness · published 19 July 2026

Ranking the current grid on 2026 output alone produces a distorted table, Mercedes solved the new power unit and everyone else is reading their own car, not their own driving. So this is ranked on teammate delta first: the points split between two people in identical machinery. That is why Verstappen sits in S while running seventh. He holds 60% of Red Bull's points, the largest share of any front-running driver on the grid, in the fourth-best car. Schumacher, Senna, Prost and Vettel are an editorial anchor, not a computed one, there is no honest way to chain a 1989 teammate delta to a 2026 one, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. Legacy is not an input for anyone currently holding a seat. Pérez and Bottas sit in D on no data at all: a first-year Cadillac has produced no signal either way, and that is a statement about the car, not the drivers. But still manage to outperform the Astons, with Lance in F tier ofc.
